I choose me

Grace Is the New Grit: A Manifesto for Choosing Yourself

September 25, 20251 min read

Most of us have been shaped by a lifetime of shoulds, musts, and have-tos—the quiet weight of other people’s expectations.

We get so good at meeting them, we forget to ask the deeper question:
What do I want for me?

When we pause and listen, we begin to hear our own truth again.
We remember that the most powerful thing we can do is trust ourselves—especially when the world tells us to do otherwise.

Read this slowly. Let it land.

Grace Is the New Grit

I am no longer defined by the shoulds, musts, and have-tos.
I choose what I want for me.

I listen for the truth beneath the noise.
I believe in the dreams that rise from within.

I act in ways that honor my wholeness.
My power is in self-trust, not struggle.

Grace is the new grit.
And I choose me.
