Dr. Mary Meduna-Gross helps high-performing professionals shift from chronic stress to clarity and capacity through science-backed neurofeedback and leadership strategy.
Founder of PlenaVita Shift
As a former Hospital Corpsman in the U.S. Navy, I witnessed firsthand the toll high-pressure roles take on the body and mind. But I didn’t fully understand it until much later — when I became the one carrying that weight.
After my service, I spent over a decade in executive leadership roles in special education. I was dedicated, driven, and committed to doing everything “right.” And yet, I’ll never forget the moment my superintendent said:
“You’re doing the right things, but not getting the right results — figure it out or leave.”
It felt like a spectacular failure. But more than that, it was a mirror.
In that moment, I realized what my relentless pursuit of excellence had cost me:
My relationships
My health
My sense of self
My well-being
I had assumed that once I was “successful,” everything else would fall into place.
But the truth is, the systems I was relying on — my brain, body, and beliefs — weren’t optimized. They were overextended.
That turning point led me to deeply study the connection between performance and well-being.
I earned a master’s in Mental Health Counseling, a Ph.D. in Leadership, and immersed myself in the science of human optimization, emotional regulation, and neurofeedback.
What I discovered is that performance without well-being is unsustainable.
And well-being without neural alignment is incomplete.
That’s why I created PlenaVita Shift— to help people like you restore the capacity, clarity, and resilience you need to lead and live well.
